i'm putting off work for a minuite to update
Climbing has been so much fun. I've learned so much, i'm amazed. We've practiced setting up anchors today. I was a little confused with my first one, but my second one went so much better. It all made sense in my head. Ann is a brilliant teacher. She has this way of explaining things that makes me understand them instantly. No one ever explained stuff to me so well.
I like the fact that I have something new to learn on the course. Lead climbing is totally new to me. It's always been a scary thing for me but I think now is the time to get over that fear. I also think we will learn things in such a way that I won't even get scared.
I can tie a figure of eight with my eyes closed.
Today we were setting up anchors on flat ground, but it was cool because we did exactly what we will need to be doing. I also love the fact that we haven't climbed anything yet. All we done is rope work and a little running around on rocks. We did a very easy climb but we probably could have run up is just as easily. I took loads of photos again today. They are still on my camera and haven't even made it to my computer yet.
I'm researching our field trip. I'd like to go to the Dolmites, except i think they will be a little cold. Now i'm thinking south italy, we'll see...
I think i'm getting fit, and i'm definitely getting a colour. Today I got quite sunburned on my shoulders. I didn't mean to it just happened. But i guess that's what a little sea air, sun shine and eight hours outside will do for you.
I must ring zarkia sometime and see how she is getting on. I don't think it'll be tonight though.
