Food resolutions

As posted in wokthecasbah, some food goals for 2009:

* As usual, one goal is to eat more fruit and veges.

* Try more foods I don't normally like. I'm growing to like eggs and mushrooms. Perhaps 2009 will be the year I learn to love fish.

* Cut down on some of the carbs. I'm not going to go crazy with this one, but for example, I should have a piece of fruit instead of a piece of toast if I'm hungry of an afternoon.

* Learn some new recipes. I tend to just chuck things together, according to what's on hand. I'd like to add a few more recipes to my repertoire.

* Make big batches of meals and freeze them - for those nights when cooking dinner is all too hard.

* Make an effort to dine out in unfamiliar suburbs. (For example, I want to go to Auburn for Turkish, Haberfield for Italian, Cabramatta for Vietnamese, and Petersham for Portuguese).
