What does your perfume say about you?
I'm in the market for some new perfume. I think I'll probably order some more through Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab.
I ordered some "imps ears" (ie. sample size bottles) from them a few years ago and I still have half of one left. I was really happy with 6 out of 7, but it's really hard to choose which fragrances to order!
The descriptions all sound so lush and inviting. Anyone got any recommendations?
Last time I got:
Shanghai
The crisp, clean scent of green tea touched with lemon verbena and honeysuckle.
Bewitched
Deep, luscious green and berry scents that evoke images of woodland witchcraft and the raw power of nature: blackberry, sage, green tea, wild berries and dark musk.
Forbidden Fruit
As light and innocent as your first time should have been. The fresh scent of lotus hidden behind lightly scented flowers, amber, and citrus.
Aizen-Myoo
Yuzu, kaki, and mikan with cherry blossom and black tea.
Lightning
Lightning slashing the midnight skies over the endless reaches of the ocean. The electric tang of ozone, marine notes, and a drop of sharp rain.
Zephyr
A gentle white scent, breezes laced with the scent of springtime blooms and citrus. Lemon, lemon verbena, neroli, white musk, white florals, white sandalwood, China musk, bergamot and a drop of vanilla.
Titania
A nocturnal bounty of fae dew-kissed petals and pale fruits: white grape, white peach, iced pear, musk rose, sweet pea, moonflower and snapdragon.
I didn't get all of them. I think I ended up with "Dove's Heart" instead of Lightning and somehting else in place of Zephyr because they'd run out. My favourite was Aizen-Myoo so I'll definitely get that again. Also, Titania and Shanghai were delicious, but I think I'll try some new ones.
I think I like tea, berries and citrus fragrances. I can't always imagine what they're going to smell like, even though most of the descriptions sound so delightful.
(Anybody know about perfume? What mainstream perfumes do you think I'd like based on those three vague fragrances...?)
