i. Two weeks ago some idiots tried to hurt my car. Poor Hatter. They tried to pull off my back windscreen wiper, and then when they couldn't manage it, they completely twisted it up. Also they tried to pull off my back licence plate as well. Bastards. So now I have to go get a new back windscreen siper for Hatter. I really need to find the time to do that...
ii. My soon-to-be sister-in-law Chelsea had her hen's party last Saturday. Was so much fun. We had high tea at The Victoria Room in Darlinghurst to start with (oh my god, so much yumminess!), and then afterwards those of us that were staying the night in the city went back to the hotel to have tapas for dinner (more yumminess!). We all got dressed in our pretty black dresses and pearls, etc, and then Chels's friends had hired her a stripper, lol. Pretty sure he was gay, you could see that straight away *was amused* And then we played a few games before we headed out. We were going to go to Darling Harbour, but then we went up to World Bar at King's Cross instead. Have to say - World Bar is kind of awesome. Not so much the music, or the $15 cover charge, but those cocktails in teapots? Totally awesome XD We then went down to Retro. So much fun there! Reminded me just how much I love that place, most especially the second level where all the 70s/80s music is XD Really awesome night over-all.
iii. Oh, and the beds in the Meriton Serviced Apartments (where we stayed)? Best beds ever.
iv. Marc and Chelsea get married on Sunday! I'm so excited and happy for them. Going to be a bit of a busy morning for me though: I have an appointment at the hairdresser's at ten to get my hair done, and then an appointment at twelve for make-up. The wedding is at 3:00pm in Wollongong (about a two-hour drive) so me and Michael need to be out of here by about quarter to one at the latest. Hopefully I won't be running late at all...
v. I'm sad I can't really participate in the 24-hour Read-a-thon this time around. They're so awesome and I love doing them. But I have to work all day tomorrow, so I'll only be able to do a few hours afterwards before I go to bed. Oh well. At least a few hours is still better than none :)
vi. Have seen a couple of movies lately. Tomorrow When the War Began and Easy A. Saw Tomorrow a few weeks ago with Jaime. If you haven't seen yet, go! It's unbelievably fantastic. Also, if you haven't read the book series by John Marsden, then what rock have you been living under for the last fifteen years? Read them, they're amazing XD Still one of my favourite book series. Saw Easy A tonight with Caley. Was pretty good, very funny :D
vii. Locked my keys inside Hatter tonight. They were still in the ignition even. Because I'm smart like that. So me and Michaela had to wait for Michael to go pick up my spare key and bring it to us at Eastgardens. He's a good brother, he is.
viii. Finally, as Olive Penderghast said, "Why can't John Hughes direct my life?"
