Of a good routine...
This week has been pretty routine which I'm happy about. Work was fairly slow. My boss was really nice and bought us all a really nice lunch yesterday for Christmas. Like we had salads and chicken and chardonnay and beer, like we did on Melbourne Cup Day. Which was great. Since work was slow I was able to get some writing done (and speaking of I finished Notebook #5 tonight. Notebook #6 will probably be started tonight or tomorrow). Worked on Chapter 6 of Ice Chamber, I now only have one scene to write before I can finally post it, finished a new Sailor Moon drabble tonight, and wrote down some quotes for next year's Nano On Any Given Thursday. Still haven't written any more for Murder at Nerd Towers. I'll have to read through all of it in the new year and decide where to go with it.
Had another professional driving lesson Wednesday night (my third one in three weeks) and I'm really beginning to feel really confident now. Joy took me out today in the car since I had to go to Southpoint to pick up a shirt for Mum to give to Michael for Christmas. And Joy could see that I'd gotten so much better since the last time she was in a car with me. Which made me feel good :) I'm almost up to 23 hours now, so almost half way through my required hours.
Spent last night and tonight watching all of Season 1 of Veronica Mars. I might watch the start of Season 2 here soon when I get off. Speaking of I watched the Season 2 finale last night, and ohmygod! I so was not expecting that! Completely blind-sided me. Amazing, but yeah, completely unexpected. Has given me an idea for a one-shot though. Stay on the watch out for it *winks*
Christmas is going to be strange this year. Granda's not here with us anymore. Plus we're not having Christmas lunch at Nan's. Usually my dad's family always have Christmas lunch at Nan and Granda's (just Nan's now) but this year it's going to be out at Uncle Jim's. He has a pool which will be helpful if it turns out to be really hot but it will feel strange regardless. *shrugs* Going to church with Nan and Michael later this morning which will be nice. I haven't been to church in a while, plus the Christmas services are always nice (though granted technically it's not an actual Christmas service considering it's only Christmas Eve not Christmas Day, so it's just a normal mass).
Then we're going up the coast to Nan and Pop's as usual in the afternoon. I'll only be staying up there for a couple of days since I have to come back Thursday night so I can go to work on Friday. That's okay though. I'm just grateful to be having this week off. I really need it.
Anyway, that's about it.
If I don't get another chance to post before I go up the coast then I hope everyone has a great Christmas and holiday season.
