It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's...
The promised quick this-is-what-I-did-in-Durango post.

So, we arrived there, and stayed with some long time friends of the family, who just moved there...last year? Yeah, last year, I think. Anyway, it was really good to see them. My friend, Rachel (not S :P, E)...dude, I missed her so much. It was really good to see her again. Omg.

Um, highlights? I need to keep this short, remember. I'll try.

So. We walked around town a lot the first day...

OMGOMGOMG. Okay. I got nailpolish...and it changes color when exposed to sunlight. COOLEST. THING. EVER. It turns from silver to red. Add the fact that it sparkles...and oh, my God. I'm entertained.
Right now, I have one of my hands painted with that nailpolish. My other hand is orange. (Nails, not literally my entire hand.) I was going to paint my toes orange, but my toes are currently a chipped blue, and Rach didn't have any remover, so...haha. It was too tough of a decision. Give me a break.

Second day. We went on a tour of an old gold mine...that was pretty neat. They made us wear these huge yellow raincoats, and heavy hard-hats... we rode a minecart thing down there, and then got out and had a guide show us around. The entire time, I was sort of scared the whole tunnel was going to collapse on our heads. Not exactly a good feeling. But the tour was cool. Really cold. It had to be, like, 40 degrees down there, not even kidding.

Another important part of day two? Rachel, me, and her brother Alec rented a movie. I normally wouldn't talk about this, but this movie is so friggin epic, it deserves to be mentioned. It is called...

KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTERSPACE. *insert dramatic music here*

It was a horror movie from 1988. And honestly, I don't think it was ever very horrifying, even back then. Very lame...there was one clown that kind of freaked me out; but that might be simply because I'm sort of terrified of clowns.
Either way, you can read about it here:

Anyway.
Day three? RAFTING. We rafted this small river in Durango - FUN. Very fun. Rachel fell off at some point...omg, that was hilarious. I laughed at her. Hehe. :)
We also saw that movie Vampires Suck. It made fun of Twilight. HAHAHA. I laughed at that too. A lot.

Annnndddd. Then you have today.
I would also like to say, real quick, that this is the coolest hotel I've ever stayed in. Ever. Which is saying something, because I've stayed in a lot of hotels before.

Annnd i have to go. Like, now. So -

So long. And goodnight.

colorado, hotel, yay, killer klowns, rachel e
