Does Smallville ever actually mention anything about Chloe before she moved to Smallville? Besides that she was from Metropolis and had a meta-mom?
Either way, I like the Catholic school. Gives Chloe great chances to smart off. Besides the fact that the Catholic church uses a lot of things with symbolic meaning, which, to a child, makes no sense at all. The way you wrote Chloe reminded me of the book Angela's Ashes.

Smallville has retconned Chloe's backstory at least three times. First time, she told clark that her mom left when she was 5. The second time, when she was 12.

The third time, during progeny, they had an actual flashback to wee!Chloe at about 7 or 8, she worked on the school paper, writing stories like Nessie Lives! In the flashback, moira had herself committed.

The catholic background is my own invention.

I've been lurking around this story for a while now, adding the odd comment here or there but I thought it was time to leave a proper review

Thank you. This means a lot to me. I've felt like it's been a constant struggle to keep the Chloe/Dean interaction from overshadowing Sam.

Part of what makes Supernatural such a good show is the brother relationship between Sam and Dean. More than anything, I didn't want to lose that in the process of creating something new with having Chloe/Dean relationship and Chloe/Sam friendship.

Of course Dean knew sam was in trouble. This is Dean and sam. And while Dean and Chloe are my OTP, I'm convinced that Dean and Sam are platonic soulmates.

LMAO! You referenced the Snuggle Bear. That's awesome. :D I love the progress Chloe and Dean made in this chapter. It makes me happy. Also, Dean could totally find Sam anywhere!

The snuggle bear was one of those throw-away lines that I just love. It's so Dean!

i would laugh hysterically if the next line you have, in response to dean being able to find sam anywhere, is chloe saying "you're lost aren't you?"
