Tonight's Smallville

Tonight's episode?  Way better than last week.

Dear SV: I like my show to have a point.  Other than "We didn't give you 7 years of backstory to advance the plot in the direction we want to go.  So instead you have this piece of WTFery."  This week=win.  Last week=epic fail.

Show, show.  Don't tell.

How come you didn't like last week's eppy? I didn't think it was too bad. I'm not much of a Clois shipper, but I seem to like the development between them. I actually wouldn't mind if they got together. When they were threatened, I loved the way Lois said she did love Clark. And even though Jimmy seems a bit mundane, I couldn't help but love him in the eppy. His, "Guys like me don't get girls like you," was very touching. Mostly as I can relate to that, and also because I think Chloe thinks herself as the kind of person who isn't fairly high up in the "league" of things. The Ollie/Tess angle seems a bit weird though. I don't think I would mind too much, except Ollie seems really out of character- really incessant about getting Tess, even though he knows he's stepping in dangerous territory.

I haven't seen this week's eppy yet. Hopefully will watch it this w/end

What I dislike is something that In writing is called "Show, don't tell ( ... )

When Chloe said it last season, did she say she was in love with him or she loved him? I do believe she loves Clark, but I feel it has settled into a sibling kind of love. She did feel strongly for Clark, and out of anyone she probably deserves him the most, but I think she converted that feeling into something else. But maybe a part of her will always love him like that ( ... )

Yes, No Erica Durance screentime always improves an episode by my book anyway.
Maybe i'm the only one but Davis creeps me out big times. I'm not so sure about Davis/Chloe...
But Chlark+Martial manhunter was really good.
I'm always picking up lots of inconsistencies, and little details that don't fit and it's kind of ruining it for me. I just have to remember that Smallville is not known to be very real anyway, but for example, have you ever seen a paramedic alone in his truck? There is always a driver and another person that needs to be in the back of the truck with the victim. Well Davis, no hes a superhero, he does everything by himself i guess. Plus he gets all those blackouts, but no car accidents... I guess Doomsday knows how to drive :)

LOL! I actually liked the whole Chloe/Blume thing because Chloe did recognize that it was a danger to her relationship with Jimmy, and chose to do the right thing.
