So the other day, chaila43 said to me (in so many words), "if you like Xhalax Sun, you'll love Irina Derevko."
Three episodes in to season 2 of Alias (following runawaynun's Handy Guide to Watching Alias When All You Care About is Irina Derevko), all I have to say is WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THIS YEARS AGO?????????????????? Morally compromised mothers who shoot their children yet remain sympathetic and oh-so-compelling? YES, PLEASE!!!
I'm a bit ambivalent about the rest of Alias so far. I want to like Sydney but can't quite get over the fact that I find Jennifer Garner kind of annoying. I also find Sydney a little too young and too perfect. Mostly I only like her in relation to Irina. Same goes for Jack. I don't particularly care about anyone else. Perhaps this is an effect of coming in in season 2? Yet none of this makes me want to go back and watch season 1. In short: MORE IRINA DEREVKO, PLEASE!!!
(I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I sincerely hope there's good fic that fixes the whole part where she's not the main character...)
