How much do I need a new television show right now? Oh, not at all.
How much do I need a new variation on cop partners with banter and sparkly chemistry and UST? LIKE I NEED A HOLE IN MY HEAD! You know this is true.
And yet what have I fallen head over heels for in the past 48 hours? Lie to Me*headdesk

I don't think I know anyone else who is watching it, either. It was vaguely on my radar screen just from general channel-surfing (and from being one of the shows on my cable provider's relatively limited On Demand selection), but I hadn't watched any of it until just a couple of days ago, when I caught what I believe was the last episode before the mid-season break (the one with the guy in the tractor). I was intrigued, started watching season 1 eps (mostly in order, though the internet has not been as forthcoming with all the eps as I might like), and roughly halfway through season 1, I'm hooked. So yes, I've not really made it to season 2 yet, but I'll let you know what I think when I get there!

I don't usually go for Tim Roth or Kelli Williams (which is surprising) but I LOVE both of their characters and the interaction between the two. NEW FANDOMS ARE SO MUCH FUN.

I have a soft spot for Tim Roth way back from his turn in the film version of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (which is maybe my favorite play ever), so I was vaguely aware that he was on this show and that maybe I should try it out sometime, but hadn't gotten around to it. I didn't know Kelli Williams before this (she was in The Practice, right? I never watched that), but I'm enjoying her here.
All told, it's hitting my procedural/cop partner buttons, and it's also really intriguing me with the way it plays with the concept of honesty and the interpersonal relations between people who can always tell when someone is lying. I suspect I will need an icon soon. ;)
