1. Went to see Regina Spektor in concert last night. OMG WIN!!!!!!!! Not that she wasn't already on the list of people I will go out of my way to see at every opportunity, but now having seen her, she's very emphatically at or near the head of that list! All the awesome, brilliant, phenomenally talented qualities of her music are magnified in live ( Read more... )

My friend texted me to ask if I wanted to go see her in Decemeber when she comes to Glasgow - I've never heard any of her stuff, but I can assume you'd recommend it, then? ;)

Highly recommended, yes!

Or...well, I'd recommend checking her music out first, because she's rather unique and probably doesn't work for everyone. I think she's pretty much the Best Thing EVAR, but I've heard others say she's an acquired taste. She puts on a great show, though!

She really is incredible!!! I didn't think it was possible to love her more than I did, but now that I've seen her in concert I do!

Aw. I actually just watched the new Bones and mostly adored the stuffings out of it, so I'm good. :)

Glee, on the other hand, I couldn't get through more than 10 minutes of the other night. I see why it's appealing to a lot of people, but I found all the characters insufferably obnoxious.

Hi! I'm here via someone's LJ ... the answer to your question is yes, there was a new Bones aired in Canada last night. We always get in on Wednesday night - a day earlier and nicely away from the logjam that is Thursday night TV.

I probably should have been a little clearer with the wording there and said something closer to "do we still get it a day early here in Canada?" Because I knew we did last year but have not been paying attention this year. But I'm up here, too! ;) And because I have cable I have been known to watch the episode on Global on Wednesday and then again on Fox on Thursday. This time, though, I confess my schedule has forced me to alternative means of television acquisition...

Is Thursday a logjam? I...don't think I watch any Thursday things. But I don't watch a great deal of regular television anyway.

I feel like we've switched places or entered some kind of parallel reality, since it's usually me who doesn't give a damn about TV and you who does. Either way, I totally get not being terribly fussed about television when there's so much going on!

You are not permitted to get a cold. I hereby forbid it! And since the universe always listens to me . . . *fingers crossed you stay well* :)

Well, I just watched it while eating dinner! And that's all I'll say about that until you've had a chance to see it. Although it's possible that's all I'll say about it anyway, not that it might not be worth commenting upon, but I really don't have time for such things! Oh, what have I come to! ;)

Knock on wood, I'm feeling slightly less like there's an impending cold. Perhaps I've nipped it in the bud? *crosses fingers*
