1. Facebook remains kind of awesome. I keep having these OMG THIS PERSON I HAVEN'T TALKED TO FOR TEN YEARS!!!! moments. I suspect that will wear off in another day or two once I've sort of caught up with all the people I haven't talked to in ten years, and then it will stop consuming more than about five minutes of my day, which is as it should be.
(I actually have some thinky thoughts about how people change and don't, and about the people all of our eighteen-year-old selves grew up to be and how it's surprising and also isn't. But I don't have the brainpower for that now.)
2. My writing mojo came back today!!! It's been like pulling teeth to work since I got back from vacation, and finally, finally all cylinders started firing again today. And...my dissertation is so cool!!! Eeee!!!!! (Let's see how long dissertation happy time lasts, shall we?!?)
