For the first time in years I have made my target of eight books a month! The figure of 96 does include one book I read twice this year, so if you count the list, it will only come to 95, but since I do include re-reads, it makes no sense to exclude re-reads in the same year. Between mid-March and the end of April I was unable to read printed text either due to inability to focus or due to crippling headaches caused by eye strain. Thank you again to foradan, meglorien and gervase_fen for sending me audiobooks (not all of which appear here because I had not finished listening to all of them once I was able to read print again). After a slow start (no books finished in January!), I gradually caught up to a respectable 85 books this year, largely thanks to my commute which involves four daily chunks of 15-20 minutes sitting in moving objects.
