Yikes
It belatedly occurred to me that I'd better check visa requirements to Turkey; I'd simultaneously forgotten that I am not European and neither as yet is Turkey. It turns out I will need one, but thankfully it is available for $26 (cash) at the airport. Otherwise, given that visas take up to three working days to process and I'm leaving on Thursday morning, things might have been tight.
