i got some tragic news today. my friend taylor, her boyfriend and a friend of theirs went sailing yesterday and their boat capsized. taylor was rescued and is recovering in the hospital, their friend was rescued but unresponsive and later died, and they can't find tyler. they called 911 at 2:30 pm yesterday, so its been over 24 hours. its freezing, and there is no way that tyler is alive.
taylor said a huge gust of wind came and the friend didn't loosen the sails so the boat flipped. tyler and taylor climbed on top of the boat and called 911, then started to swim. taylor doesn't remember tyler ever not being with her and was confused when they rescued her from the water and he wasnt there. she was hypothermic so i assume she blacked out from the shock and the last thing she remembers is swimming with him. they are both very physically fit and i am baffled that tyler didn't make it. they have been dating for something like 8 years and it breaks my heart to think how taylor must be feeling. its devastating, something i dont think she will ever fully recover from.
they were all wearing life jackets and i just can't understand how they havent been able to find tyler yet. they are both such genuinely nice and honest people. nobody deserves for something like this to happen, but especially not good people like them. i am very thankful that taylor is alive but i just feel so sad for her.
