Ah, it's been ages so I figured I should update. Also, it's either this or writing down notes for developmental biology and I just can't be bothered right now. [x
( Read more... )
Alright, I'll admit: I did like today's double lecture on plant genetics. xD But that's about it. I had to study some plant stuff during the first and second year already and now that I'm over halfway through my degree, I just can't be bothered with it. xD I want my fruit flies!
Will do. Oh, and don't worry. I'll have a rummage through my mom's make up closet(which I was supposed to do during the summer already, but I got lazy...) and list what all we've got there for dibs(and there is loads for that, trust me xD) so you can pick stuff you might want. And then I'll make a wee package for yous. [x Better let someone have the stuff rather than let it expire since my mom always gets way more stuff than our family can possibly use. xD
I was suprised by that, I thought they'd be way more expensive here. o: I just checked, they're only selling the Yes to Carrots stuff here so far. :c And not the conditioner. ;.; Sadday. Ah, I guess I'll jsut have to wait. So far, the Yes to Carrots products have already gone to best sellers list so I think they might start adding more stuff to that product line...
And nope, not yet. I've no idea what size head that man of mine has. xD I did make the scarf though. Still need to felt it when I get back home but that shouldn't take long. I think if I get back to Finland early enough, I'll knit him a hat using my dad's head as a model. Should only take me a day or so since I tend to be not that busy during Christmas holiday. -.- And of course there shall be pictures a-plenty!
Oooh, exciting. You know how much I love products. XD I loooove trying new stuff. Thanks!
Yeah, we didn't have many of the Yes to Carrots things when I first heard about them, and the cucumbers and tomatoes weren't here at all, so just keep a lookout and I'm sure they'll show up.
Make him measure his head. XD You can get little paper measuring tapes free at some furniture stores and places like Home Depot. I do remember he doesn't have anywhere near as big a head as Nate. XD It was so funny when he tried on Nate's hat.
Ooooh, I've still never finished a scarf. XD I'm actually doing one out of crocheted granny squares right now, for the boho chic look. Actually, I'm mostly doing it because crocheting granny squares is ridiculously relaxing, and we're in the middle of stormy weather right now. I can't wait to see the pictures. :D I put up a post in my LJ recently with pictures of some of the things I've knit, if you want to see them.
Oh, and I tried this one body wash by Dove yesterday and it left my skin feeling so much softer than usual. O.O It's going to be great for Winter.
De nada. I thought you might enjoy the prospect. And I know my mom'll be happy getting some more space in that closet. [x
Oooh, excellent. This means I have hope! But yeah, seeing as how they've just gotten positive reviews and already getting more reputation over here, shouldn't take too long.
I can try but he is so forgetful, though. By the time he actually remembers to get a measuring tape from somewhere, he'll already be coming over here. xD And we should've taken a picture of him with Nate's hat. Must remember to do that in the future. : D
Seriously? Scarves are so quick to finish, though. xD Oh, I love crocheting granny squares! Was supposed to make a baby blanket out of them during the summer but I opted for knitting one. Big mistake, my fingers were dead after it. And I still need to crochet the edges. -.- And I saw the pictures. You've actually got like a million LJ updates I want to comment on but I keep forgetting. xD
Which one was that? I usually always use Dove but lately I've been leaning towards normal, non-comedogenic bar soap. xD
Scarves are so boring though. -_- And they take me forever, but I'm pretty slow at knitting anyway. I still think hats are funnest to make.
I'm almost done with all the granny squares I need. I hate changing colors for them though. XD They each have four different colors to them, so I'm going to have a bazillion ends to weave in.
Yeah, I'm bad about commenting on journal entries a lot of the time too. It's usually because I'm busy or tired so I figure I'll deal with it later and then I end up forgetting about it entirely.
It's this one: http://www.dove.us/#/Products/BarSoapBodyWash/BW_DeepMoisture.aspx/ I don't usually use Dove body wash, since they last couple I've gotten from them have been less impressive than some of the other brands I get, but this one really is nice. <3 What bar soap are you using?
Yeah, they are but the good thing is that you don't have to pay that much attention when doing them. I like that. : D I usually always watch the telly or something when I knit so scarves are pretty basic to with that. [x
That's what put me off. I figures it'd take freaking ages to make anything out of granny squares and then I'd still have to crochet them together and have ridiculous amounts of ends. And I hatehatehate weaving in ends. :c What colours are you using for them? o:
Exactly. I keep reading stuff and going "Hmm...that's interesting" then I go off to do something else for a bit, come back to LJ and forget why I was there to begin with. xD
Ooh...I've not tried that one. I was pleasantly surprised with Dove's Go Fresh line. Some excellent stuff there. Right now I'm using Pears Transparent Bath Soap which is amazing. Doesn't smell that good(though not bad once you've actually washed it off and gotten out of the shower) but it does wonders to my skin. >w<
I guess I should pull out one of my scarves and try that. XD It would be nice to have some that I've made.
I dunno, I started it like three days ago and haven't been putting that much time into it, and I have almost all of the squares made, and last night I wove the ends in on five of them, so it's not that bad. Sewing them together is fairly fast, and I'm just going to crochet a basic border around the whole thing when I'm done. Hopefully I like it though. XD
I'm using a dark burgandy red, a light brown, a beige, a tan, a dark forest green, a medium sage green, and a light sage green. :o And each square is four colors total. Oh, and I have five different square color patterns. I'm starting to want to make a whole afghan. XD
I love the Go Fresh deoderants. <3 Especially the one with grapefruit and lemongrass. But I didn't care as much for the body wash in that scent, and I have a huuuuge bottle to use up. XD Which is fine because I just put it in the shower and tell Nate it's his for now. He's using up this one Olay body wash I didn't care for the scent for now. Is that soap good for dry skin? My skin is about to totally freak out from the change in weather, so I'm looking for anything that will help keep me from being too itchy. XD
You should. It really doesn't take that long once you get going. c:
I'm not that excellent with crocheting since I've not done it for a while. And I'd have to pay attention to what I'm doing. And that never works for that long...
Ooh, the colours are nice. Not too loud but still enough depth to make it look good. And just make as many squares as you can be bothered to and see what you'll make of it? xD
Ah, didn't even know they were doing deoderants for that series. o: I just tend to use Nivea one of theirs seems to work quite well with black clothes. n.n And I think it might be. Since it's non-comedogenic, it works wonders for pores. Hurrah! And bar soaps in general are thought to be better for dry skin since they contain larger amounts of glycerin and other natural oils. Pears Transparent soap is especially good since it's non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and the pH is skin balanced. Plus it has no colourants.
