He got orders!
Yahoo! Lee checked his e-mail after we got done with lunch with mom and dad (that was an adventure in its self -- you try explaining to your mom that your wedding band won't be in on time sometime and let me know how it goes) and he got a message from one of his buddies, Rodney, letting him know that his new DEROS date (date to leave unit and head to a new one) has been moved up from Dec. 6, 2003, to get this -- Aug. 9, 2003.
Happy about that Lee hopped on AOLIM to see if Rodney was on-line. He was and he wasn't kidding. Rodney gave him a number to call so he could see what his orders are and Lee just called and told me we will still be going to Fort Stewart, where he was originally supposed to be reporting after we get married. It is a tactical unit, so there is a chance he may be deployed sometime soon, but it's closer to family and friends than some places. Fort Stewart btw is near Savannah, Ga.
