Long day
I should be going to bed right now, but I'm needing to wind down a little more before I can get to sleep.
Today was a bad day meal-wise for Gavin. First he took forever to eat breakfast. Then he didn't want to eat what he asked for lunch so he had to eat it for dinner. Needless to say he didn't get to do much this afternoon other than take a nap which threw all the plans I had for the afternoon out the window. Then he tried to fight eating dinner. At least hubby was home to help fight that battle...even though he still couldn't believe we were having a battle over that particular food.
I'm hoping tomorrow is better. I'd really like to run the errands that I didn't get to run today, but since they involve going to the mall I can't go until it opens at noon. And darn it, since it will be Sunday I won't be able to get Chick-Fil-A.
One of those errands is birthday shopping for hubby. To make things easier on me gift idea post can be found here.
I'm also frustrated with myself because I keep letting myself get sucked into the computer instead of doing other things I should be doing. I'm trying to keep myself from getting on first thing in the morning. It's hit and miss right now.
Actually I'm not just trying to keep myself from getting on the computer first thing in the morning, I'm trying to get myself (and Gavin) on a better schedule so we'll be ready when school starts in just over a week.
I still can't believe that it's almost time for Gavin to start VPK. We go to meet his teacher (and fill out some paperwork) next Friday (Aug. 21) and then classes start the Monday after (Aug. 24). It will be interesting figuring out what time I need to leave the house to get him there on time (and to pick him up on time) as I will have to go through three different school zones to get to the school where his VPK meets. I just hope the class size stays large enough that it isn't combined into one of the programs in the neighboring cities. That would really suck to have to drive even farther for him to go to VPK.
Well I'm finally beginning to get sleepy so I think I'll end this here and head to bed while I'm still yawning so I don't get caught up with anything else on the computer.
