The art is finally going up

Hubby and I have gotten two more pictures hung up, bringing the number of pictures on the walls to 8. We still have a dozen or so to hang up. I'd like to have the largest ones up before Tobias and Meghan come in for Nate's wedding. If we do a picture a day we should almost make it. *LOL*

I picked up a cordless/rechargeable Weed Eater trimmer/edger this evening. Now we can clean things up around the edge of the house and the drive way. The yard has been looking a little shaggy. I may have to try and get Gavin down for a nap and then try and mow it myself. Before I do that I might want to fill up the 2 gallon gas can so I have gas on hand in case the lawn mower runs out. I'm hoping it holds off on the rain for the next few days, as it has seemed to rain every day hubby was going to get out and mow. I just checked the 10 day forecast and we just might get lucky.

I'm working on de-cluttering the kitchen counters (where does all the crap come from!) so I can give them a thorough cleaning. I'm about half way done.

I have some ideas for some things I would like to make before Tobias and Meghan get here. I have several ripe bananas frozen that would be perfect for banana nut bread. I even think I have nuts that I can use. Just need to check on the rest of the ingredients. I also have some lemons in the fridge for a lemon sugar cookie recipe I found. Considering the recipe makes 7 dozen I could always make them and see if my mother-in-law would like to add them to the food at the reception (provided they are edible of course).

No word on the computer and I forgot to call about it. I did remember to call kyndig2 and wish him a happy 30th birthday. Now I'm not the only one (until I turn 31 on the 18th). We really need to catch up, especially since he lives close to the store I took the computer to for service.

I'm tired (and sore) since we are actually getting back into the exercise routine. We haven't really exercised since we left for the first Communion in Orlando (May 14). We came back (May 17), then got sick (May 20), then had the shock of Brenda's death (May 25), then the funeral (May 30). Needless to say we slacked on exercising when we shouldn't have and are now paying the price when trying to get back into the routine. The nice thing is I somehow managed to maintain my weight over the course of the last three weeks with a very minimal increase (not even a full pound).

I think I'll head to bed now. Hopefully we won't have the isolated thunderstorms that are in the forecast for tonight. If we do I'll likely end up having a little person come join me in bed...and boy can he take up a lot of space!
