Fence is done!!!!!!!
Dan brought home the extra gallon of stain I needed to finish and I went out and did it right after supper. At the end I was frantically trying to finish while I still had some vestige of light, but I got it done. I had to crawl into a prickly thicket to do one large section. Right now I am a mass of scratches, bug bites, blisters, sunburn, and sore muscles. But the fence is done.
As an extra special reward for finishing, Dan got me a ticket to the 12:30 showing of The Dark Knight. I went to the Quality 16, and was pleasantly surprised at how much less crowded and crazy it was than Showcase. As for the movie.... I tried really hard to come up with a reaction that didn't involve taking the lord's name in vain and the best I can do is -

Wow. Wow. Ummm, add a few more wows. Yes, it really is that good. And after watching this amazing rendition of the Joker (Seriously creepy, Pure Evil), I'm really not sure how I'm going to sleep tonight even though it's four am and I'm exhausted. I'm still processing the whole thing. This may be the single most plot dense movie I have ever watched and they never miss a beat. There are no dead spots, I saw no internal inconsistencies, and the motivations of each of the characters' make sense (okay, no, the Joker doesn't make sense, but he's consistent in his inconsistency)and show real reactions to the events they are experiencing. Go see this movie as soon as you can. It rocks.
