Observed this issue second time in last 1 year. The two acer laptops I have (6th gen i3 and 7th gen i5), both came with QCA9377 wifi cards. MacOS isn't compatible with qualcomm cards thereby forcing me to use tenda usb wifi dongle when working on MacOS. One of my laptops conked off which incidentally had intel wifi card. Windows has this neat thing for you to manually define checkpoints for you to restore your system back to those points previous to current fiddle/installations. First thing first. I have switched to Windows Mobile for now. I do have a spare phone in Lenovo Zuk Z2 which needs IC repair. Until that is done, I am on Windows Mobile from Blu Win JR LTE with 1GB RAM configuration that was bought 2/3 years back in 2800 bucks. Gave into temptation to buy Boltt Fit band in 870 bucks. It is replica of Mi Band 2. Boltt Health was alright though it was considerably heavy with 130 MB of storage footprint. Day 1 in NCST, I was introduced to pine as the email client. Those days, we were given account on the solaris servers maintained by the Systems group here.
