All you have to do is to put up one glass of milk on gas stove, switch it on (the most critical step in this process) and then get immersed in whatever you like doing (the second most critical step in this process). After an hour or two, not only your house but your neighbourhood as well will lit up in the amazing lingering smell of you know what.

I really LOLed after reading your post! Yup. Been there and done that! Only, I got so enthusiastic in scrubbing that I realized that along with the black muck, I'd taken off a lot of the vessel itself, which you probably did too!

Possible but that's for mom to figure and tell :P. Am happy about that warm water experiment. It came off nice and easy after that.
