I had a good time yesterday. We went around through the wood-y areas of the neighbourhood. We started out near my house, went toward Ridgeview (in a wooded area), ended up near Thurgood Marshall, crossed over into another wooded area. Walked around in there, ended up near the power lines, then back through another part of the woods-y-ness. Up onto Sioux, close to the apparently former portable area (when did they disappear?), over the field at Ridgeview, onto the path, where we ended up seeing Becca and Mihir.
Oh yeah, earlier (like one of the first things we did was step in some mud. Heh. (We decided it was not the other thing that has a tendency to make casts.)
It was quite enjoyable.
And this made me laugh. When I got home, I was looking at the Post, at the comics, and this was my horoscope: Nature is restorative. Being an earth sign, you are in a unique position to immerse yourself in it right now. You don't have to find a forest. Cut open a zucchini, and look at the beautiful design of its seed placement. Really look.
Heh. We did find a "forest," though. And I did need it. I had originally planned to just go to my spot, but everything was too bare and open and I didn't like it, so we kept going. Hee hee.
And guard practice apparently was cancelled. So, that works. No parade, though. Oh well. Videos today.
