QUIT YOUR DAMN BITCHING

Holy christ. If there's anything I'm sick of more than Bush and the election, it's all the fucking complaining that's been going on ever since Tuesday. Our country is not going to explode or be taken over, the sky is not going to turn black and swallow us, and we're not going to try and take over the world. America is a democracy and don't you dare say it's not just because Kerry lost the god damn election. DEMOCRACY means people were allowed to choose. More people chose Bush...flat out and simple. Calling Democracy dead is retarded and you're just being immature and quite juvenile. If you want to blame and point fingers, blame the 83% of young (18-25) voters that did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Those are your peers. Blame them if you're going to blame anyone. Don't blame the president, don't blame Ohio, don't blame Florida. The people who VOTED aren't too blame. Those who refuse to vote are the problem. I am by no means a Bush supporter but Jesus christ. Shut UP. All Americans seem to do is complain...when they're given a chance to CHANGE something and ACT on their words...they cower or just sit and sulk. In 2008 I'm going to run the "VOTE OR SHUT THE FUCK UP" campaign.

Moving along...most of the arguments and causes, or at least 3, that people have made for getting Bush out are actually what Bush in office is good for. Now the abortion, gay marriage, and issues like that, I agree...him being in office is the worst possible idea for those causes if you're not a die-hard christian that's been brainwashed to say that everything that isn't acknowledged as right in a book about god, is wrong. However, for the issues like our economy, the war in Iraq, and terrorism.

The Economy- Anyone who has ever taken an Econ class or Intro to Econ or Fundamentals of Econ can easily tell you that an Administrations effect on the economy will take a few years to show up. At least 2-3 in most cases. Now you can try to say Bush killed the economy but you're just using him as a scapegoat rather than looking at solid facts. First off...our economy is the envy of the world and it could decline for a few years and it would still be above everyone. Secondly...the economy always has and always will FLUCTUATE. That's what it does. Trends for a downward slope of the economy started in the Clinton administration. Factor in a bursting Tech bubble, a massive multi-attack Terrorist strike on our country and the paranoia it caused us, and top it off with one of the worst Corporate accounting scandals in history (Enron) and that's what has royally fucked our economy. If you wanna get down to the nitty gritty...Bush has actually turned it around. After a skyrocketing unemployment rate (can you say...bankrupt airlines and travel job layoffs), George Bush has brought the unemployment rate down from around 6.3% to 5.4%. That's the unemployment rate of the country when we all re-elected Clinton Also, GDP is up 5%, 69% of americans own their own home (highest percentage EVER), and in actuallity Bush saved our economy considering the cards he was dealt and he handled it just as any Keynesian or Supply-sider Economist would've recommended. Bottom-line...No room to bash Bush here.

The War on Iraq- We take history classes from Elementary school up through College for a reason. It's so we're smarter and learn from the mistakes and efforts of the past. First of all, I hate the idea of war and I was not a happy camper when this war started. I'm an Air Force brat. My Grandfather's were in WWII, My Father was in Vietnam, and my brother has been in Every military Conflict since the Gulf War. Toss in a bunch of my friends getting sent to the middle east in a violent conflict and you have my situation right there. However, looking back in history you'll see that changing Presidents in War time is a horrible idea. 80-95% of Military Absentee ballots will show a mark for the incumbent party in war time for this very reason. Let's think back to the last time there was a change of President in war time...OH YEAH. Vietnam. Yeah...that was a major success (please note sarcasm). Let Bush fix his mess. Kerry wouldn't have been able to make any drastic changes for at least 6 months and that's when Bush wants to be out of there anyways. However, the declaration of war was a bad idea to many, we took out a Tyrannical dictator who was killing massive amounts of Iraqis and addressed a reoccuring problem area. Did you all complain when Clinton got us tied up in Bosnia and Kosovo? Bash Bush a little, but use intelligence. PS- You people bitching about the economy. War is an economy quick fix. Remember that history class...WWII saved the United States from The Great Depression. You can't have your cake and eat it too. (I'll take point deductions for bad cliché usage)

The War on Terror- If I hear one more person tell me that the US is doomed thanks to Bush being re-elected, I'm going to kill someone. Terrorists hate AMERICA. They didn't JUST START attacking the US when Bush was elected. They're not attacking Bush. They're attacking the US. Perhaps most of you don't realize this because you were rather naive back in 1993 and earlier attempts, but we've been attacked before and we'll be attacked again. It has nothing to do with who's sitting in the Oval Office. Now granted, I'll give you the fact that they probably hate Bush a lot more than Kerry due to the fact that Bush has shown a spine and started attacking back. So they've been challenged. Clinton didn't attack back after the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center and look where that got us. The World Trade Center which basically stood as a symbol of Capitalism no longer exists. While Bush can be viewed as a gunslinging honkey with this one, he just kept you a little safer than you'll ever respect him for.

Now normally I'm not a very political person. In fact, I've been annoyed for the past year at political discussions, arguments, news stories, and constant banter. However, this is what all the complaining has driven me to. Funny how before when I didn't gather any information and didn't want to discuss it, people wanted to talk about it til I bled from the ears. Now that I'm all studied up and fiery about it, no one wants to talk about it anymore. Regardless...complaining is pointless and detrimental to your cause unless your cause is sounding like a spoiled 12 year old kid who didn't get their way. Roll with the punches and how about next time, you get out there and vote and make sure everyone else you know gets off their lazy asses and does the same. 2008 I'm going to run the "VOTE OR SHUT THE FUCK UP" Campaign and I mean VOTE or don't fucking say 1 god damn, critical statement about the president or any of the elected officials for 4 whole years. You give up your right to complain when your lazy ass doesn't fucking vote. So deal with it bitches.

End Rant.

Ps- Keep any comments and responses to this post civil and intelligent. I deal with enough complete idiocy and ignorance from Work
