not a sunrise, but a galaxy rise!

In a nutshell:

- That was the best New Years Eve I have ever, ever had. Cabaret Faux Pas' "Anti-Climax: Building You Up to Let You Down" party was so very wonderful. Basically it was the perfect amount of people, everyone dressed fabulously, everyone danced... it was a serious success.
- My house is STILL covered in glitter and sequins. Damn. I guess we went a bit far with the performance.
- The dance floor was out of control until at least 5am. Folks stuck around until 7am, but I had escaped by then.
- Jessie and Adrian's visit was fabulous! We ate delicious food, made ridiculous nerd jokes, flirted mercilessly, drank wine shamelessly and generally just started 2010 off right.
- After Adrian's departure on the 4th, Jessie and I spent lots of time picking apart each other's brains. It was so nice to spend such intense time with someone who knows me so intimately. It sets the stage for the kinds of conversations that just tear you up and sew you back together simultaneously.

Specific highlights of the trip include (oh! Sublist!):
- That 3 hour lunch @ L'anecdote
- Cooking that epic dinner for 5...er, maybe 7.
- French braiding Jessie's hair like she was my doll.
- That really ridiculous dungeon visit that involved listening to Celine Dion on the radio while learning rope bondage.
- The epic day of shopping for new "work clothes" Hmmmm.
- Carl Sagan and the Surprised Kitty (see below).
- Detention at Max's house.
- Turning the "pre-party" into a nearly 6 hour dance party in my room. I was exhausted by the time we got to Up Yours!
- Waking up next to Jessie's gorgeous hips in my bed every morning.
- David calling me a "bitch whisperer"
- Everyone in my household, plus David, plus Jessie, plus Joseph, all watching Johnny Mnemonic. Don't ask why, we just did, okay?
- The venn diagram of all my secrets (read: my worst nightmare).

Other than that, life is wonderful.
