Another book down for 2019!
4/5 stars. "Freak the Mighty."
I read this because my 5th grader read it in his advanced ELA class. He was super into it, and asked his teacher if his mom could borrow the book.
It was a very quick read. I felt the subject was a bit heavy for a 10/11 year old, but my husband says that's right for their age.
I was saddened at the ending, but I really liked how when we discussed the book, my very bright son was able to put into words about people that struggle with things due to their differences.
Great learning tool!
