so i had a complete wonderfully detailed journal entry done on Monday afternoon..and good ol LJ woudn't let me publish it. thanks for nothing.
So i took a hiatus from the site yesterday and will now attempt to remember everything I wrote on Monday here....
wish me luck
Last week overall wasn't a bad one at work...just a good amount of things to do compounded with extra curricular activities that I chose to involve myself in left me exhausted by weeks end.
Tuesday i went straight from work to Cake Arts for the one night candy making extravaganza. The fruits of my labor are on display in the
KITCHEN. I was concerned that there wasn't going to be enough room or time to do much while I was there, but it turns out that I was the only one who came to the class! This really shocked me because we are right close to easter...and i thought that more moms and such would be out looking to learn how to impress their friends and families with
confectionary delights. So it ended up being myself, Dorothy (owner of Cake Arts), and Pam (Cake Arts employee), just having free range in the kitchen. and
THIS is what I had amassed in a little over an hour and a half. Loaded up my car with the
goods, picked up dinner at Aladdins, and then went home to eat, take
photos of my product, and then tidied up the place a bit more...or at least as much as I possibly could before passing out.
Wednesday was another fine day at work...after which I went home for dinner, then off to lenten service. After church i went to sneak a peek at a couple end tables and stuff..all of which were way too big for my small space. Oh well. Back to the new place from there to tidy up some more.
Thursday was same as it ever was...then after a quick bite at home, i headed to BG for the first time in at least a month to go bowling with Tyler, John, and some kid named Big T. I fared well the first go round especially considering I hadn't been bowling since New Years with Chris and Jeannette. but i barely broke 80 on the 2nd game. it was fun anyway. Stopped back at the guys house afterwards to talk to Rufus about Wrestlemania for a bit...then by the time I made it home it was around midnight. collapsed until 6:30am.
Friday wasn't a terrible day either...got out normal time. Then i was supposed to go over to Needlemasters around 7 to draw Wrestlemania ticket winners and get a new tattoo. I picked the winners, but they were slammed there...so i talked to Mario, who was supposed to do the work..and he suggested doing the tatttoo live on the air (so its free). I've already been in contact with the appropriate sales personnel here...so hopefully that can totally happen! I will have my Hess artwork!!! Since i wasn't there as long as I expected to be...i hit up Bed Bath and Beyond for a couple more things that were necessary for my apartment...like Silicone coated whisks...read my rant on Silicone bakeware in
The Kitchen. Ended up FINALLY getting everything in its proper place at 205...pics to be posted soon enough...just gotta load them in :)
I always seem to lose track of time when I'm reorganizing...so after I finished that, i went to bed.
Saturday I was up at at work till around 2...then I had to quickly go get a much needed oil change...then make it over to the Tandoor for an delicious and entertaining Indian lunch with Tyler. From there, i had just enough time to go home, vacuum my CLEAN apartment...and meet down the road to pick up Jordan to go to the Breaking Benjamin meet & greet and show. Due to the fact that my hair doesn't like one bit of humidity...i had to go with the tails that night...forgetting that my neck tattoo was hanging out. Also neglecting to remember the fact that one of the members of Breaking Benjamin shares my last name. So he freaked when he saw it...and stopped me to get some pics. I'll be posting those soon enough as well. But the show was decent. Crowd was HUGE and I was impressed with Against the Fire who played on the small stage beforehand. highlight of the Breaking Benjamin performance - a Depeche Mode cover. enjoy the silence is always good to hear. When that was done and I had dropped Jordan back at the church and made it home myself. it was again...close to midnight. did a couple phone calls...then went to bed.
Church was a large part of my sunday morning...i got to hold a giddy Brady for a bit afterwards...until he decided it would be ok to do the number 2 while I was holding him. Prime opportunity to hand him back to Jess. I swear, the stink from that teeny baby had about a 2 foot radius around him. Kroger, Monettes, then home for cornmeal and PBS.
After all that, I got my things together and headed out to the mall around 3:30. I perused H&M...and a couple other store...not buying anything. Went to go buy a couple things at Forever 21...but then realized that my bank card and drivers license were in my coat pocket. it was 70 degrees outside, so my coat was still at home. Went back to the apartment...then BACK to the mall to get my final purchases in before they closed at 6.
More grocery shopping after that...went home for salmon burgers for dinner...and spent the rest of the night inside relaxing for once.
ha.
ok...i'll round out the rest of this week starting with Monday tomorrow. its quittin time!!!!!!!!!!!!
