Awkward

I always find it awkward when someone talks to you in a public restroom. On the one hand there are the comments you will say to strangers, such as "that paper towel dispenser is empty" or "you left your ring by the sink", and they are normal interactions. when i worked at whole foods, people who talked on the phone while we were trying to ring up their purchases were the bane of my existence. i like that in arkansas, at the subway i went to with sandra and jackie, there was a sign that told people to finish their convos before they tried to order. i wonder if anyone really obeyed it?

to be blunt, the thought of talking to someone while they are taking a shit is just really awkward, a turn-off, and nauseating.

I've seen those signs in other Subways. They seem like a good idea to me. Whenever anyone tries to check out something here while talking on their cell phone I ignore them. Then if they are pissed off I just say I was being polite and assumed they wanted to finish their phone conversation in privacy. Seriously, people need to get some manners.

Yes, the topic of my post is so icky. I just got all riled up about it b/c there were two girls using their phones in the bathroom. So wrong! At least one girl mentioned that she was taking the phone into the restroom to whoever she was talking to, so I guess they had the option of saying "just hang up and call me back later" (although apparently they weren't bothered since she kept on talking). I feel dirty just thinking about it.
