There is nothing I love more than a plate full of steamed veggies on a lovely afternoon. Except maybe a plate full of fresh-baked cookies. But cookies have I none.
I visited cousins in Cambridge over the weekend. The weather was absolutely amazing. I actually got sunburned. Sat at an Italian restaurant in the market square and felt like I was actually in Italy while I enjoyed my pizza and red wine. Had my first punting experience (a type of traditional boating that is famous in both Cambridge and Oxford), and managed to do a decent job. I crashed straight into a wall in the first 5 minutes, but after that I was good.
Yesterday I went to the Globe to see A Midsummer Night's Dream. It's the play I am most familiar with after Romeo & Juliet (of course), so I had high expectations. Especially since I am convinced Jeff Merrill was born to play the role of Bottom (as he did in our high school's production). But the actor playing Bottom was absolutely fantastic, and I really enjoyed the spin on Puck.
After finding an article on the Lord of the Rings musical, I have decided not to waste 35 pounds going to see it. It is closing in July because it has done SO badly. All the more reason to go see it, right? When I found out that it is 3 hours long, I decided I would save my money to go see Spamalot when my brother comes next week.
It has come to my attention that I have 2 and a half weeks left in this place. I actually have to have everything packed this weekend. Well shoot dang. Keep me on my toes
The countdown continues.
