So, anybody have any recs for Arthur/Eames fics where Eames doesn't say "darling" all the time and never says "love" and both he and Arthur aren't 2 dimensional stereotypes?
THIS, ITA, MTE, AGREED, TRUTH. Jesus I have never seen so many people affected by one British man ad-libbing the word "darling," into one scene. THEY CALL EVERYONE DARLING AND LOVE, MY GOD. I shit you not, I have not read one single Eames/Arthur fic so far where "darling," wasn't used at least once, and usually it is more than once. I get it, it was a cute scene. I wanted to fuck them both in it. But originality goes such a long way, people.
I will of course still read all stories littered with darlings and loves. I just reserve the right to complain about them in my journal.
My first story is actually not even Eames/Arthur, just because I couldn't immediately think of a way to get around their already set personalities. My story is straight up JGL/Tom and all things considered, as much as I love the film and I speak about it at length daily still, I have a lot more freedom when I'm writing about two regular guys no one really knows personally. I can make them into anything I want. I'll be writing Eames/Arthur, just not today. Stay tuned.
