Today was a rather crazy day. Or, I guess it was yesterday. After sleeping in very late after an interesting night last night, I went shopping with Liz and Carolyn. WARNING: DO NOT shop for 5 hours. You will spend way too much money. But, it was a good time and I got a lot of shopping done and hopefully everyone will love their gifts!

I know you've probably been told this before, but not knowing what you want to do with your life right now is kind of normal. They say everyone changes their major at least once. And ya know, if you like music but don't like what comes along with being a music major, then there's nothing wrong with admitting that it might not be what you want to do. Some people love music and think it's what they want to do for the rest of their lives. But when they get to college for a few years, like you said, they associate how well they play (compared to others) with their self worth. And the result to that is not true at all.

Marissa, not only are you a great player, but you're an AWESOME person. Seriously, you're one of the few fluters that stand out to me. So many of us are so competitively driven that we're not afraid to put anyone down to get what we want, but you're not like that at all. You're too kind to do that.

Really, you're one of those people that really has to figure out their passion, because you are smart enough and talented enough to do WHATEVER you put your mind to. (ok, that might not have sounded right, but it was a compliment).
