I finished Final Fantasy XIII about a week or two ago, and I'm not completely sure what happened or what I saw. No spoilers here, but the entire time I was watching the long, long, LONG cutscenes, all I could think was, "What the hell is going on?!" Having the subtitles on didn't help; the dialogue was so contrived with very little substance. Aren't there supposed to be, like, lots of starving English/Literature majors out there? Also: Not nearly enough Lightning. I am way obsessed. NO SHAME. But really, if you're going to give me a kick-ass female protagonist, don't cock-tease me by making the ending all about the stupid cliche doofuses I never put in my party or bother to level up.
Now, if only I were as emotionally invested in, say, the effects of foreign aid on Bangladeshi security, or what Japan-Taiwan relations since 1972 tell us about Japanese foreign policy, because I have to write two research papers on exactly that due on the 29th. How many articles regarding either of these topics have I read so far? Two! Actually, for me, this is pretty proactive. This means I can go take a nap now, right?
