a wee holiday
We - the potato eatin' mick and I - are setting out for Boston in the morning. We'll drive up the east coast as briskly as possible, not too fast, but fast enough since we know that better photo opps are waiting for us in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. We'll probably go there first. (Acadia National Park in Maine is, from what I see and hear, magnificent.) By week's end, we'll make our way back down into Boston, where he has a relative from Ireland whom he wants to see. She's his aunt and knew his mother better than anyone in her younger days. I've got friends in town for a show, and I'll be staying with them; should be good fun.
I'm eager for a change of scenery, and I'll be tagging alongside someone who has incredible photography skills...and some pretty impressive remote flashes and telephoto lenses, as well.
Can't wait to see what's waiting for us along I-95 and beyond.
