More on damage...
The gazebo at the walking trail two blocks away from my house is gone. One side was blown onto the grass between the parking lot and the street, and the rest blown across the street against the side of a clinic. This was a nice, big gazebo made of wood that was a shelter, a place to sit and read quietly, a gathering place for a family, or just a place to hang out.
Also, the crosswalk post at the corner of the nearest intersection to the walking trail park - is MANGLED. Wires and metal just mangled into a pile of spaghetti.
Note, this park is SOUTH of my house, whereas all the devastation that occurred on my street (correction, it's only five doors down!) is NORTH of my house.
