I'm posting from my new laptop. :D It arrived today and Graham and I got it set up and working late this evening. It didn't have a modem (companies aren't consderate of dial-up users these days :P) but Graham had an external one around. We found the installation CD cover for it but no CD. I've been having issues with my laptop...one of them being it keeps shutting off on me. So, I will be catching up on my emails, LJ comments, etc. when I get this main problem fixed. I haven't disappeared...well, I guess I have temporarily. LOL!

My laptop started making funny noises when yesterday whenever I'd start it up. Confirm File Delete has also started popping up, not allowing me to look at my pictures, favourites, etc. sometimes. The picture will come up and then immediately the Confirm File Delete button. When I push cancel or try to x it off, the box just keeps reappearing. I'm ( Read more... )

I took my laptop in yesterday and, of course, it worked perfect at the computer store. The guy was actually surprised how strong of connection it got, picking up three other connections a block-and-a-half away. Probably won't be around as much the next couple weeks. Erin and I are going to town on Tuesday and I might drop my laptop off. Haven't decided yet but, if I do, I'm not sure how long it will be there. It has been snowing here for a couple days now and is so pretty outside. We probably have 3" + which is more for here, especially at once. I took some pictures and will post them later. The temperature is staying around - 14C during the day so that isn't too bad except that it makes hauling water a little more work. I have to use the torch to warm ( Read more... )
