Blood on the water.

Thank you to everyone who responded to my RP-rant, by the by. ♥ I didn't comment to all of them yet, but I appreciate everything everyone said. It was a great relief to come back to something saner after that discussion.

I have so much to do this weekend that I think about it and I start convulsing. So I've run off to play with ringtones which is so very productive.

But I needed new ones for the Shadow of the Colossus theme I've got going now. I fixed my brother up with a Gurren Lagann theme, as well. He needed a break from Bleach and I was bored of Advent Children.

Notes for stuff this weekend:

01: Write 15 minute Semiotics presentation on Children's Books. Urgent. May kill me.
02: Commission for Kat. I've slacked off in the last couple of weeks, and it's really Not Good. But I do have more to show, at least.
03: Look at Children's Book texts, brief, select one.
04: Map for Arcadia.
05: RP.
06: 'I.D.'

... Ghngh.

OH! Yeah. Meeting Karl was brilliant. Apparently he almost drowned in May, though - whilst wearing a lifejacket he couldn't inflate. He finally managed, which was a relief because he said that dying with a lifejacket on would just be embarrassing.

... A man who can't swim and owns a bloody houseboat and loves the water. He's such a weird little Welshman. Went in for hypothermia after that, as well. He's off his crutches, though; he has an obvious limp, but he seems to be doing okay.

I also found out about some unfortunate goings-on at my old College. He wants to leave and go sailing - join on as crew on one of those boats that just travels everywhere, boat-hop all over. He could pack up his boat and pay the rent for a year, leave his doggy with his parents, go and see the world if he wanted. They have to keep his job open for a year, so he could come back and slip right back into teaching.

I missed him. I'm so glad to see him doing well. I hope his dream for travelling comes through for him.

I wonder if he'd mind a tag-along.
