Speaking of Tori, the reason I posted Carbon the other day was 'cause I'm going to make a Buffy vid to it and I was thinking about what Tori's meaning of the song was. It's always reminded me of season 5. It fits with the family theme very well, it's about looking out and protecting people you care about.

In the song, Scarlet is trying to save "Carbon-made" (Isn't that *so* Dawn?), who is manic depressive and possibly suicidal... the lyrics "Keep your eyes on her [horizon]," stick out to me. The images in "The Gift" with Buffy jumping into the horizon to "commit suicide" and save Dawn, it's just perfect. It also applies to Buffy/Dawn, Joyce, Willow/Tara, the scooby gang/Buffy, dealing with death and depression and helping people through that. "Snow Glass Apples [where nothing is what it seems]," is the Snow White story in which the queen is the good one... that's sorta like Glory, to her, Buffy's the evil one and all Glory really wants to do is go home. Ahh, it should be awesome purely because of the song, but it's going to take me forever to get all the video I need for it.

music, buffy stuff
