"Ah!!! American food!!!"
Nick sighed in content as he chew his Philly Cheese Steak sandwich.
"No offense to you two."

He pointed to both Jay and Hayato.

"Just... One week, I need some... You know, home food stuffs."
He mumbled.
"And not McDonald's or what not."

"None taken."
Jay nodded.
"We know you're hard to adjust to other customs."

"Yeah, we're surprised you managed for more than a week!"

Riley saluted.

"I can handle teriyakis, or those noodles but those... Octopus balls-"

"For the hundredth times, Nick, they're NOT actual balls from octopus."

Hayato cut off.

"Whatever."
The blonde pouted.
"You guys know I hate sea food!"

The other three rolled their eyes.

"Sorry to break it to you, buddy, but in a few days, we're going to Osaka to eat some... Octopus' balls."

Jay cackled.

"You guys ate that yesterday!"

Nick shook his head.

"And all the way to Osaka for the sake of some balls- whether it is real balls or not!"

He turned to Hayato.

"Hi!"

The four turned around to see a little boy with a yellow hat waving at them.

"Konnichiwa."
Hayato got up and crouched down.
"Hey there, you're not here alone, are you?"

"Uun."
He shook his head.
"My nii-chan is in that store."

The little boy pointed to the store next to the cafe.

"Your brother might be looking for you."

Hayato smiled.

"Ne, nii-chan, when I grow up me want to be just like you!"

The little boy declared.

"Eh?"

Hayato blinked.

"You're so cool, nii-chan."
The little boy pat Hayato on his shoulder.
“Mama always praise nii-chan."

"Me like the other 5 nii-chan too!"
He nodded.
"Everyone so talented!"

"Nii-chan can dance and sing so well."
"And nii-chan can play guitar too!"
"And beat box nii-chan and rap nii-chan is so cool!"

"Mama said nii-chan stop singing and dancing."
The boy's smile faltered from his face.
"Mama said mama was sad, aunty was sad too."

"Aunty likes nii-chan too, but aunty favors the kame nii-chan more."

"Kame... Nii-chan?"

Hayato frowned.

"Yeah yeah!"
He nodded, and flashing Hayato a big toothy grin.
"Kame nii-chan sing good too!"

"He's so cool!"
“Kame nii-chan, when play Ryu is cool!"
"Nii-chan there is cool too, with Ryu!"

"Ryu...?"

Hayato repeated.

"Yeah."
He nodded.
"Kame nii-chan is so cool!"

"But nii-chan is the coolest for me!"
          "Then Kame nii-chan comes second."
"Me can't wait till I can join Johnnys and be like you and the other nii-chans!"

"Nii-chan plays Ha-"

"Miroku!"

"Nii-chan!"

The little boy beamed up at his big bro.

"Why do you always wonder around!?"
He sighed.
"I'm sorry, he likes to do this sometimes."

"Oh."
Hayato stood up.
"That's fine."

"So your name is Miroku?"
Hayato smiled.
"Nice to meet you, Miroku-kun, I'm Ha-"

"Me knows!"
He smiled grinned.
"Mama said I was named after you!"

"After me, but my name isn't-"

"No, but nii-chan played Miroku, remember?"

The child smiled at him again.

"Come on, Miroku, we have to go."
The brother took his hand.
"Once again, sorry for that."

"He's only 5, but he thinks he's 15 and knows everything."

"I'm 5 and a half, nii-chan!"

Miroku stomped his feet, pouting.

"That's okay."
Hayato chuckled.
"Bye Miroku."

"Bye bye, nii-chan!"
He waved as he and the brother walked off.
"Say hi to the other 5 nii-chan too!"

"O...kay..."

Jay blinked.

"What happened?"

Nick asked.

"Yeah, what was the kid saying?"

Jay piped in.

"Dude, shouldn't you understand?"
Riley shook his head.
"It's a kid Japanese."

"So, what happened, Hayato?"

"That kid..."
Hayato frowned.
"Said he wanted to be just like me when he grows up."

"What?"

Nick blinked.

"Exactly."

Hayato chuckled, and took a sip of his iced coffee.

"And he said he was named after me and his name is Miroku."

"Kids says the darnest things these days."
Riley shrugged.
"Maybe he's confusing you with someone else."

"Yeah, most likely."
Hayato nodded.
"The kid also said I sing and dance."

"And that his mom and aunt were sad that I stopped singing."
"And he kept saying the other 5 is cool too."
“So yeah, he wasn’t talking about you guys.”

“There's 3 of us here, and 4 with you."

Riley pointed.

"He definitely mistook you with someone else."

Jay nodded

"Yeah, probably."

Hayato shrugged.

"Kyaaa~"

The boys turned around again to see a group of high school girls squealing and jumping around, holding each others' hands before they take their seat.

"Girls."

Riley shook his head.

"Jay, don't even think about it."

Hayato said sharply.

"Party pooper."

Jay sulked.

They boys continued on with their own chit chat.

"I'm so excited!!!"

"I can't believe they'll put a Johnnys sports day again after such a long time!!!"

"This is sooo the biggest thing ever!!!"

"I heard all Johnnys are going to be present!!!"

Hayato's ears perked up at that.

"Even Arashi!"

"I heard Kanjani 8 and NewS will be there too!!!"

"Omg!!!"

"My mom and aunt are so excited!!”

"Oh! My friends from Indonesia, La, and London are coming!!!"

"Do you think KAT-TUN will be present too????"

The girls got quite.

Hayato turned around slightly.

"KAT-TUN?"

One of the girl frowned.

"Yeah, the group that quit Johnnys after one of their member had that accident."

"What accident?"

"In 2008, his car collided with another."
"My mom and her friends were such big fans of them."
“Still are, actually.”

"And she said it broke their hearts when he died, and even though the 5 continued on for a while without him, they were never the same anymore.”
"And then, after their tour, they announced their retirement."

"Are they big?"

One of the girl crossed her arms.

"HUGE!"
She replied.
"No, HUMONGOUS!!!"

"Like... The Backstreet boys of Japan, you can say, except they're 6 instead of 5."

"KAT-TUN....?"

"What a name...."

She giggled.

"Apparently, it stands for each of the member’s last names.”

“That’s creative.”

“So, I’m guessing, this KAT-TUN is the same group era like NewS and Kanjani?”

“Yeah.”
“They’re actually close friends, some of them.”

“What happened?”

“Well, from what I heard from my mom and her friends…”
“After the accident, they had one tour, and then announced they quit the industry.”
“I guess… it wasn’t the same anymore, you know.”

“Plus, the A of KAT-TUN was a big deal for the group.”
“He was the lead singer, I think, along with the K.”

“Oh, so it was the A…”

“What’s his name?”

“Aka….”
She frowned.
“Damn, I forgot.”

“But, my mom and her friends always refer to his first name, Jin”
“It was as if a member of a royal family died, you know.”
“My mom told me she and her friends were crying for days.”

“And, they went to their concert, few months after that, some fans were crying.”
“The 5 of them tried to cover it, but, it’s useless, you know?”
“When you tried your best to smile for others, when all you want to do is cry.”

“Yeah…”

“Mom said the K took it the hardest.”

“The K?”

“I forgot his name too.”
She chuckled.
“But, yeah, the K and A are really close.”

“Well, anyone would be devastated when they lose their best friend, idiot!”

Her friend threw a napkin towards her, scolding her a bit.

“When I said, close, as in, REALLY close.”
She shook her head.
“I mean, it’s… I don’t know whether it’s true or not.”

“But, my mom and her friends said that they’re in relationships.”
          “With each other…”
“You know…”

“Yeah?”
One of them raised her brow.
“So what?”

“Yeah, I mean, look at Arashi… “
          “Ninomiya-kun and Ohno-kun.”
“And what about Hey Say Jump’s Yabu-kun and Takaki-kun?”

“Well, now it’s not that big deal anymore.”
She pointed.
“Back then, it was frowned upon.”

“The fans suspected it, and actually encouraged them.”
“Even gave a cute nick name for the couple.”
“Aka… hmmm, what was it, Aka-Kame!”

“Red turtle…”

Hayato mumbled.

“What was that?”

Riley turned to his friend.

“Ah… no, umm…”

Hayato frowned.

“You’re eavesdropping on those girls, aren’t cha?”
Jay grinned.
“Are they talking about us, by any chance?”

He didn’t reply, and turn his focus back on the girls again.

“Ah, that’s it, the K’s pet name is Kame!”

“Cuz he’s slow like a turtle?”

The girls giggled.

“Hmmm, not sure, but, yeah, maybe?”
          “But wow, my goodness, he’s…”
“GORGEOUS!”

“I mean, my mom wasn’t very supportive at aka-kame at first, you know.”
“Cuz, she’s Jin’s biggest fan, so she says.”
“And that, Jin was hers.”

“But… her friends, sort of convinced her, on how K and A look good together…”
“With a smile, she gave it up.”
“And admitted it, and became their fan!”

“So, what happened to K after?”

“Hmmm, after that, he was never on spotlight again.”
She said as she sipped her drink.
“T-TUN are sometimes spotted, together, or separately.”

“And they still do some acting, and singing too.”
“The U,still writes songs, and even won an award for that.”
“Tanaka and… Maru… I think…”

“Mom said they own this club in Roppongi.”
“And once in a while, they’ll do a collaboration like how they were in KAT-TUN.”
“Since Tanaka is a rapper, and Maru is the beat boxer of the group.”

“They often remix their old songs, and with the U, and create new ones.”
“And of course, the other T…”
“I forgot his name too… but he’s a pro billiard now.”

“Tanaka… and Maru…”
He repeated.
“Tanaka and Maru…”

“Oh, that’s a really common last names, right?”
Jay pointed.
“The bartender last night, was Tanaka Yoshi…”

“And then, the manager of the hotel’s name, is Tanaka Syuusuke.”
“I don’t know about Maru, but you MUra is probably too.”
“My mom’s last name is Nakamura.”

“Almost like your uncle Yuichi…”

Hayato ignored Jay’s ramblings, and continued on listening.

“K?”

“K’s the only one that never appears anymore.”
She crossed her arms on her chest.
“It’s weird, I mean, other Johnnies quit too, but, their career after that, is known widely, you know.”

“I mean, they’re Johnny’s!”
“Whether they’ll go solo, or pursue another career…”
“People will know!”

“Like, Sakurai Sho, pursuing politics, or Koyama Keiichiro, as a business man.”
“Yea, they do make appearances like now, group reunions and all…”
“But… with K… nothing.”

“Some believes he’s living in the country side.”
“Some says he’s even in another country.”
“He does gets photograph, and it’s always with other Johnnies, T-TUN, or family.”

“Like someone who is visiting, right?”

“Yeah.”
She nodded.
“Although friends nor family never say anything, others see it that way.”

“My mom and her friends’ guess was Okinawa, London, or Los Angeles.”
“If K really isn’t living in Tokyo, or Japan.”

She listed.

“Why Okinawa, London, or La?”

“Call it a guess, or aka-kame biased.”
She shrugged.
“The three places have meaning for K and Jin.”

“Okinawa, they went there during their early teen for… a vacation and work project thing during their Johnnys Junior days.”
“And, fans believe that it’s not their only trips to Okinawa, and some natives would see them.”
“Taking vacations together incognito.”

“London… a friend of mom said that K always wanted to go there.”
“And La, because Jin once took a half a year hiatus to La.”
“I don’t know if it’s accurate.”

“WOW!!!”

One of the girl gasped out.

“What?”

The others said in unison.

“KAT-TUN are handsome!!!”
She pointed to her phone.
“Girls, they’re soooo hot!!!”

“Ikemen!!!”

“Ah, yeah…”
The girl nodded.
“Yep, that’s them, alright.”

“My mom still have a poster of them hang in her office at home.”

“So this is K, A, T - T, U, N…”

One of them listed.

“Yep!”
She chuckled.
“Just look at K and A.”

“Even with group pictures, them standing together side by side…”

“Yeah…”

Her friends nodded.

“Look, these are their pictures together.”
The girl pointed again.
“Gokusen… 2?”

“Oh, right, Yabuki Odagiri…”
Her friend chuckled.
“Mom said, it was as if those two were real!”

“Wow… Jin is handsome…”
The girl sighed.
“He must’ve been 40 right now, if he was alive, huh?”

“Gone too soon.”

Her friend nodded.

“Ah, baka!”
She pointed her cell phone’s screen.
“I got their full names.”

“KAT-TUN…”
She read.
“Formed in 20xx, and officially debuted in 20xx, with their million hit, REAL FACE.”

“KAT-TUN, K= Kam-“

“Hey!”
One of them stood up.
“Let’s go, our movie starts in 20 minutes!”

“Oh shit!”

“Damn, we lost track of time!”

They got up one by one, and left towards the register to pay for their drinks.

“Girls, wait for- oh, sorry.”

She bent down, and picked up the bag she knocked off.

“That’s okay.”

Nick smiled.

“Excuse me.”

She bowed slightly.
Before she turned around, her eyes caught with Hayato’s.

“NE!”
The girls waved at her.
“Are you coming or what???”

“Oh, right!”

She nodded to them.

“What’s wrong, do you have a tummy ache?”

“Ah, I told you it’s not best to drink something sour when you haven’t eaten anything yet.”

“No, it’s not that…”
She frowned, and looked back towards the direction of the boys.
“It’s just…”
