Thank you!

But, know that they only go as well as I make and let them go. I make the decision every day that today is a good day and I will look as hard as I need to in order to make sure that it happens (I even saw two butterflies chasing each other last week!). Some days are bad and they suck and I can't do anything about those days but just let them go.

Maybe that's hokey to other people, but it works for me and it makes it so I can live my life in lessons and in happiness instead of in anger/fear/loneliness/sadness/discomfort/distortion/a haze. I hope that it is one thing I can teach to people I care about... because when I love someone, I want that person to be happy.

I hope that things "go well" for you... soon and forever.

Yeah, I'm in a particularly unpleasant patch right now; I really need a vacation from school and work, but sadly I'm trapped in both, at the same if not higher levels of stress, until late June. :(

Sweetie, this is exactly what I am talking about - people postponing their happiness until that one thing that may or may not come - and may or may not make it better when it comes - finally happens. Stress is part of life and it always will be - unpleasantness and the BS that we have to put up with just by the fact that we work with other people are not going to go away. Taking a few classes will be stressful now and helpful later (and don't think that you have anything on me when it comes to stress: 4 classes and a commute to work where I actually have to do the driving instead of having time to study!), so you take them and chug through it.

I know that it feels as though there is no break for the next two months, but there are moments that are yours - if you take them. Do you think that watching a couple of bunnies hop across my lawn took more than 2 minutes? No, it was about 10 seconds, and those 10 seconds kept me happy for 20 hours because I thought it was cute and cool that I was allowed that moment.

A challenge: don't ( ... )

Thank you! Things are well, if not hectic (though I know you know what that is like). I'm excited and scared stupid about Nicaragua - cramming a new language into a 29-year-old brain within a couple of months makes me a bit nervous! However, I am so excited and so ready to check out something new! (You will find once you get back from PC that if you had a good experience, it is very hard to want to stay in the States for very long stretches of time.) Thank you for the well-wishes!

me and my husband havent even left yet and we often discuss the possibility of not coming back at all! we both imagine that it would be very hard to leave it all behind and settle back into a 'normal' life in the states.
