Teehee!!! I just sent my application to the school in Nicaragua!!! I will be starting one month from today!!!
*******
OH GOD!!! I WILL BE IN A COUNTRY THAT I CAN HARDLY UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE OF - MUCH LESS SPEAK - IN ONE MONTH FROM YESTERDAY!!! WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!

Did I mention that I got the hook up on flights? My mom's random dating lifestyle has come in handy and one of her ex-guys has put me on his friend's list for American!!! So, while it is slightly stand-by, it is about 1/3 of the price with the probability that I will have to fly first class... poor me!

After a full night of qualitative analysis a few days ago, I drove into my house at about 1:15 and scared two bunnies into hopping from my yard through my headlights!!!
Bunnies are so cute!!! So, bunnies and opossums so far for this house - THIS IS A COOL HOUSE!!!

Because I will have to go right back to school when I return from Nica next fall (really, it's still summer in August), I have to figure out where my nomadic ass will be living! So, I am going to talk to my brother's good friend (who works in a pub...) about the idea of being roommates... I think. I'm looking for good feedback from people who have been through roommates (I haven't had too many) about thoughts on a pub manager and an overly-stressed grad student living together. I fear him being noisy when I'm trying to work (though, the noise would probably just be at the pub, right?)... or, knowing that I can get the hook-up on beer when freaking out about studying might make me an alcoholic (or, at least close)...

Silly bank people drive me crazy - called me everyday this week to get me to consolidate the loans I took out this past year (with the ones I have from undergrad). Called again today and I was able to answer the phone... did the consolidation... got a call back that because I am full-time, I am not eligible to consolidate the ones that I got this past year... Well, thank you for the wasted time and for wasting your company's money... dumbasses need to do a bit of probing before wasting that time!

Interviewed such a cool lady yesterday - I hope I get to work with her for my practicum! I love the program I am in and the people we are exposed to through the amazing professors!!! I may sound like a dork, especially because it's not some fancy, big-name, high profile school, but I LOVE MY PROGRAM!!! My professors know their stuff, are known in this and many other areas for their work, know many people doing the stuff I want to do, and are so helpful and accessible! I really just fell into it by luck... I love that my life just takes me to the places that I need to be!!!
