Up early, and in all honesty, never really got to sleep. When I climbed into bed last night I found that my Dearest had pulled the sheet and the rest of the bedding out - a pet peeve of mine. I fixed it as best as I could without waking him up and did some reading in my current selection as I listened to it rain. Finally turned out the light and just couldn’t sleep and after 2 + hours of trying I have given up.

Dearest and I got the woodpile chain sawed into shape, did the usual errands and I got most of my chores done this weekend.

The Shetland Pi Shawl is finished. It is unblocked but hopefully I get that done later today. Mugabug likes it. :)
This is what it looks like unblocked. I do like the way the colors pooled. I can say that the stretchy bind off you do on the last row took forever.

Right before going to bed I cast on for the Heliotaxis Shawl but didn’t get any further than the first 7 rows. For all you yarn addicts out there, here’s Knit Picks Gloss Fingering weight in the Robot color, 70% merino wool, 30% silk, on size 6 DPNs. Again, I am forcing my self to use a chart on this project. Hmm. For right now it will be called Silvanus's Woodland Shawl.

The big old black and white cat that we see in the summer is back wandering around outside. Spotted it out the window this weekend sunning on one of the rocks in the back of the house.

I was able to get a bit of sleep but this of course ate into the morning. Now I am going to try to finish the last two chores of the weekend and block the Shetland Pi shawl.
