It's rare that I find myself in the center of drama. Even with this copy-paste nonsense, I'm involved but would hardly constitute the center. On a side note, do they REALLY not make students write papers and cite sources in undraguate colleges in India? I'm highly doubtful of that excuse. Even if that is the case, GRADUATE students here need to know the rules. I don't care if you're from another goddamned planet.
I don't want academic dishonesty on my record and I am thankful the group leader caught this before we turned it in. Also, if she was dishonest with him, as in if his side of the story in terms of what he asked her is fact...well I want her out of the group. I had to re-do part of the paper in case we strike her name from it and wind up using our own input for those parts. If this was a misunderstanding, it is a sore one that could have cost five of us dearly. If she lied though, I want her GONE. Some things get second chances. Lying to trusting teammates isn't one of them!
Some of the girls in the group see our leader as merciless, but I'd be more on his side if I had to pick. This situation is truly pathetic.
