A good friend and old colleague of mine called me up during the week and offered some photography work. Big international event, sports related, cups are involved... not really my style to be honest, I would not be using my regular photography gear and the fact that I'm rusty is making me a tad nervous about saying yes. This friend who's hosting the event is also an avid gamer and he's been trying to make me buy a 360 for a long time so can play over live. It was not hard to sell the quality of my work to the sponsors but I know that hiring me would take away any excuses to not get one since my normal fee (which was offered) is almost equivalent to that of a new console. He even stated later that he'd probably just manage for a straight up elite bundle instead of actual payment if I wanted too in exchange of my services.

I find this almost funny :) Thing is, the event is so well plugged that it's probably going to be easier for him to get me that kind of deal. I'd rather have the cash at this point but hey - I'm not going to say no either.

Truth is that I would pay to do it because it would involved working with many of my old buddies from Quebec who have all been gathered around to work on this in various ways. Don,t think my friend is just squandering money to have a party with old friends. Our old group used to represent some of the best talent there was and all the members eventually achieved heights that where worthy of our capabilities. I'm proud to have been included with this group and live up to it's reputation, not to mention that these people eventually became my friends when I lived over there. Hotel and travel is all included. It would be a blast compared to the last time we got grouped up again for a similar gig. He's even made arrangements for my family should they need to follow.

A GLOWZOO reunion? Fuck yes! It only makes sense business wise.

There are times when I miss Quebec and the friends that I've made over there very much. I'm still content on being here though! What can I say, old girlfriends are old girlfriends. You fell in love with them at one point in time and there's no denying that.

In other news, we got a call from our realestate agent which offered us to buy the house right now instead of waiting for two more weeks because the owner has already moved out. Great and wonderful excitement ensued but we would like to know more about the financial aspects involved of doing such a thing.

Our notary is unfortunately slower than a sick slug and it seems he still did nothing on our case even though we have been stepping up the bombarding calls to his office for answers on various previous matters. I'm going to make things clear today that if nothing is done to assure my confidence in this man, I'll just have to look elsewhere.

Last night it felt better to wait two more weeks anyway since there would be money involved which might not represent the worth of skipping two weeks of waiting time. There's also the scheduled payments involved with the bank that could get fucked up against what we would rather have. I can't wait to move but I'm not THAT impatient.
