Still no word from the mechanic for whom I show blind trust. It's not deserved, it's a lack of choice. He was optimistic about what could be my "main problem" with the muffler, saying that they actually specialize in this kind of thing and he would probably do some physical repair instead of swapping parts, something that would be less costly. I'm more worried about the breaks. I know I should have changed them a while ago but I was not aware of how stupid waiting out on this problem could be. Anne says they react in a fashion that should have worried me a long time ago, I just did not think much of it.

The day obviously passed along quickly since I only showed up for the afternoon portion. Yet I'm so exhausted that it does not really make a difference. My lunch break was mostly about sleeping and finishing my latest read (Eaters of the Dead by Michael Crichton). Now I'm down to reading Homeland and I have a couple more books on my list of things to check out. It's funny, I did not think it would affect me that much but I'm still somewhat reeling from finishing the last Harry Potter book which was done about a month ago now. I think it's because I never invested myself in a such a long series like that before, if not over a period of time as long as it took.

Less than four hours of work to go, most of it will be spent batch processing image files and doing web updates. Then I'm on to the yearly calender which is proving to be a complicated matter already because the heads cannot agree on the content to add. I feel like I'll be redoing this a couple of times before we end up with a definitive version.

books, work, cars
