2014 Year in Review
So far I've only done two, for 2011 and 2013. I skipped 2012 for obvious reasons: my year in hell/clinics.
Just realized there's no number 9.
1. What did you do in 2014 that you'd never done before?
Went to my first K-pop concert, saw U-KISS live.
Visited Milpitas.
Visited Columbia U.
Met BSB and took a photo with them; Gold VIP, baby.
Went to my first veterinary conference.
Met Furukawa Yuki in SF, shook his hand, and asked the first question for the Q&A session.
Saw U-KISS in concert 3 times in Japan.
Saw ARASHI BLAST in Hawaii, their 15th anniversary concert!
Saw a rock band member in a restaurant, old dream/fantasy fulfilled!
Had a karaoke night with my coworkers.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I guess I sort of kept up with stuff. Again, I'm going to try to be more organized this year and keep on top of the Jpop/Kpop stuff from the beginning. I really need to sort through my long list of bookmarks, stack of books and journals, and other cleaning at home.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not sure how close, but my coworker's wife gave birth to a vegan baby!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, our only girl cat, Lucky. Very sad and sudden! We had her for almost 14 years of her 14 years and 8 months of life.
5. What countries did you visit?
Japan.
6. What would you like to have in 2015 that you lacked in 2014?
Maybe a date or a boyfriend? More time spent with old friends whether face to face or online.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I got a pretty big bonus at work but I feel like I should list something else. I got to go to Japan while working!
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing serious, the chronic dull pain in my side and I caught a cold at the end of the year but Sambucus helped me recover faster!
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My 3 way U-KISS bag!
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My coworkers, friends, family, and cats.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The leaders at my work some days and crazy clients.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Lots of events especially VIP stuff.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
All of the events and concerts! I was especially super excited and nervous about meeting Furukawa Yuki and shaking his hand! But I was more prepared for that than for meeting and hugging BSB!
16. What song will always remind you of 2014?
U-KISS "Quit Playing/Don't Flirt". That pv, man.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
-Wiser? Yeah, I should be.
-Healthier? About the same.
-Richer? Maybe.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Organizing! Do you know how many bookmarks I have on mozilla firefox? Also I still have my stack of magazines, books, and journals to get through. Aish. I wish I drew more and watched the butais, movies, clips, and dramas I have on my external harddrive.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Being depressed or upset at crazy clients.
Getting angry.
Hating.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Oh! I spent Christmas with kei-ren's student. We went to the Contemporary Jewish Museum, walked through Chinatown, ate at the Stinking Rose, and then came back to my house to see my cats and have tea and mini cupcakes. I should have taken him to dinner though too but I was starting to get sick.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Probably, but most likely unfounded or due to my own paranoia.
26. What was the best book you read?
Yes, I did read quite a few books in 2014. I finished Codename was Sailor V and PGSM up the one with Sailor Neptune on the cover. I would say all the PGSM manga.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
U-KISS, hands down! I knew about them since "Tick Tack" but don't know or understand why it took me so long to become a KissMe.
28. What did you want and get?
A trip to Japan, tickets to all those aforementioned events, old wishes fulfilled.
29. What did you want and not get?
Longer stay at Japan, trip to London and Italy or Taiwan.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Again, I don't think I went to the movies all in 2014. Maybe Trick the Movie: Last Stage? I haven't yet seen Kuroshitsuji nor Rurouni Kenshin 2 but I must and will!

29. On the actual day, I went to Source restaurant with my parents and cousin. That night, I went out with Daisy and my coworker for a Japanese dinner and karaoke.
32. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Kevin Woo from U-KISS. Furukawa Yuki should be included as well and AJ/Jaeseop Kim.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2014?
Fob green jacket, lazy outfits - sweaters and jeans with sneakers.
34. What kept you sane?
Music, my cats, relaxing, events!
35. Who did you miss?
Some of my favorite coworkers quit and moved on in 2014.

People come and go. But true friends remain. Even if you don't see them every day, there's always time to meet again and catch up.

Lots of fun times.
