TRIBUTE TO DAVE; JOB OPENING!
Monday was a very shocking and difficult day for PBM, and for myself. Dave Jakubowski, one of our trombone players (and one of my best friends) decided to move on from the band for good and pursue other goals. Dave has been a part of this band for nearly FIVE years, sacraficing everything and giving 150% at every show, every practice and in every situation we've been through. I've played along side Dave since my sophomore year in high school and I can say without a shadow of doubt that Dave is one of the finest trombone players and human beings I've ever met. While others may join this band, his contributions and the memories he has created can never be replaced. This was not a bitter end between us and Dave. All the guys in the band wish Dave the best success and hope he finds happiness in anything he does.
I will miss playing along side Dave, coming up with harmonies and new parts, pointing out funny things in the audience, cracking jokes about all kinds of things and being asked if we are twin brothers! While we always answered no, there is some truth in that last question in that I consider Dave like a brother. But, while it's a major bummer, I am actually very happy for Dave. I believe this is a decision he needed to make and I support him fully in whatever he does.
Simply put, I owe my existence in this band to Dave. I will miss playing alongside him, but I know someday the Two Towers will unite again for one hell of a jam session. Good luck Dave and thanks for everything over the past five years!
Having said that, PBM IS AUDITIONING FOR A TROMBONE PLAYER OR A SAX PLAYER! However, we are still uncertain if we will replace Dave or not, I guess it all depends on the audition and interview. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AUDITIONING FOR PBM, PLEASE EMAIL ME PERSONALLY. I have a list of requirements regarding time commitment, sacrafices, practices, drug/alcohol policies, etc. I can explain more in the email. I've always wanted to say this, but PBM is an equal opportunity employer!
