I just realized something...

Sep 10, 2005 12:50

I have no idea why this didn't dawn on me/concern me until today. Maybe it's because I've been feeling ill, I dunno.

I have training this week. Where? Wall St., New York City.

By the way, I fly out tomorrow.

Now, I realize the highly unlikely occurence that anything of the terrorist nature will occur again on 9/11, in New York...what with the security measures in place these days. But, to be honest, it doesn't settle well that I'm flying to the destination of terrorists, who claimed as many lives as a natural disaster...on the anniversary of said event.

When I went up there the first time, I had some issues using the subway. At 5:30 in the morning when I was trying to find my hotel, I came up out of the subway station, turned around, and noted the very large crater in front of me...and wondered just how fucking tall the buildings which once stood there would appear had they not been waxed by a couple of planes.

It'll be interesting to see various memorials. I can't find my damned USB cable for my camera, but I'll try and take some pics of anything interesting.

EDIT: The USB has been found. Hilarious picture of the discover, but bretthoerner hasn't uploaded it yet. He's a faggot.
