I had an interesting run in with a guy on the bus last night. He was very insistant on giving me his phone number and didn't seem to care whether I would call him or not. He told me lots of things but all I remember is about Dave Matthews and how much weed he smoked that day (but smoking is not a regular thing, he insisted). He walked me half-way to the Crocodile before he found a guy with a pen and then wrote me a note:

"his name
his phone number
you make have awesome eyes"

I really wanted to know what he was trying to write with the word "make" instead of "have". He seemed nice and somewhat normal, but I don't think I'll be calling him.

I got to the Crocodile just in time to see the band Beirut. I had every intention of staying home and watching television but my friend was persistant in how good this band is and how much I would like them.

I liked them quite a bit, but I wanted to punch the singer in the face, he was such a brat. He happened to be 20 years old and the show was 21 and over. According to Washington State law, the Crocodile staff have to follow certain rules because they don't want to get busted and then putting their workers out of a job. This kid wanted to have a drink and could not, and he had to be supervised when going through the club, even when going to the bathroom. He is not the first to be treated this way and he will not be the last. So shut the fuck up after the 6th time telling us that you can't have a drink and you have to be supervised. Seriously. I'm pretty sure that after his behavior, Beirut will not be asked to play the Crocodile again. If he comes back to town before he's 21 and plays a different club in Seattle, he will be treated the same way.
