Update & photo meme pics, part 1
I so want a lap top!!! I lugged my computer (monitor, tower, and speakers, plus all the cables - oy!) to the place where I'm house sitting... er, I guess that's appartment sitting, as they live in an appartment. I figure since I will be here for 3 weeks it will be worth the effort of moving it all over here.
I got everything into the appartment and all plugged in, turned the power on and...it doesn't connect to the internet! *headdesk*. Where was the Geek Patrol when I needed them!? I tried fooling around with the connections settings - nothing worked, of course. And neither was my sound, damnit. :( But after playing around with the cables, I found I had the speaker cable plugged into the wrong place. *facepalm*
The folks that live here have just moved from Texas and have been here barely a week before they headed up to Oregon for 3 weeks to attend a Bach festival. The husband is a choral conductor and he's going to be the new choral conductor at the university here. He didn't have time to get the DVD player and VCR hooked up before they left and they only have basic cable (no movie channels) so I had no way of watching the movies I brought over until I brought my pc over. So once I got my speakers working again, I watched a movie.
This morning, I got up and fiddled some more with the connections settings. I've only ever had a dial-up connection before and that was set up by my ISP person, which is a whole 'nother story. ;) Anyhow, I'm seeing stuff like broadband, LAN settings etc, and I have no idea which one I'm supposed to set it on. I clicked on the help button and one of the suggestions was to unplug the router and plug it in again. And wouldn't you know, that did the trick!
So here I am, connected to the big wide world again! :D
There are two cats that live here:
Oliver likes high places. He's the mellower of the two cats.
Sebastian is "bipolar" according to his owner. ;) He's definitely the more vocal of the two and he will hiss at nothing in particular at random, lol.

I forgot my camera when I went back to my house yesterday so I wasn't able to get pictures of some of the things requested. Look for them in the coming days.

Me". I found it last summer, the same time as the Rodney elavator SGA promo came out where he says at the end, "I love me." I *had* to buy it! :D
There's also a fortune stuck on there that says, "Your future is boundless as the lofty heaven." And underneath that is a picture of stars/nebula that
dragontamerno3 sent me. :)
It's after 2pm, I should go have some lunch.
