I looked around the place we once called our home. The boxes are packed and the furniture have been shipped. The place look empty yet it’s suffocating to be here. I wonder how I managed to stay here that long after you’re gone.
How long has it been? I don’t really remember. It felt like time stopped on that day I woke up and you’re gone. I might be moving in auto-pilot since then because I have no memories after that phone call.
What I remember was Yuichi punching me a few weeks ago. That hurt a lot and I guess it did help to wake me up from my stupor. I remember crying so hard after that. Why did I cry? Was it because you were gone? Maybe.
Kazuya convinced me to stay with him. He says it will be healthier for me to be out of here. He says I’m torturing myself by living in the past. I don’t want to leave but all of them told me I should. So I thought, why not.
My sister came to visit a few days ago. We talked for hours. It might have been that talk that finally got me my senses back. I should move on. I’ve finally accepted you’re not coming back.
As I pass the threshold, I know there’s no turning back. With my head held high, I gave a silent prayer that wherever you are, you’re happy. Now, I’m going to chase for my own happiness.
